Fuck Yoo, Yahoo Guys,
After we had a long site downtime because we forgot to renew the domain battleteksquad.com in 2005/2006, I rebought the domain after it was released by the blockade of the ex provider. I've chosen Yahoo Domains because they had a good offer and someone told me about it. I bought it in August 2006 for like 2 bucks:

BILLING SUMMARY
-------------------------
Annual Charges
1. Domains fee: $1.99
Today's total: $1.99 |
In 2007 I get a renewal notice E-Mail by Yahoo, that the Domain costs are now 9 bucks. I remember that when I bought the domain, it said the second and following years would be 6 bucks... What a crowd of liars:
Quote | Your Yahoo! Domains plan will renew on 08/08/2007, and your credit card will be charged the annual fee of 9.95. If your billing information is up-to-date, there's no need to do a thing. |
But that was in 2007. Check the fuck out what I got a few days ago:
Quote | Your Domains plan, associated with the domain battleteksquad.com, will renew on 08/08/2008. If your billing information is up-to-date, there's no need to do a thing (except keep enjoying your service).
Important note: Beginning on July 1, 2008, Yahoo!'s annual domain renewal price increases to $34.95 per year. |
WHAT THE HECK? Looks like I just got fucked! Now I need a new domain provider - any ideas? (My current Macgamenet provider charges about 19 dollars a year, looks like I'm gonna change to him - they have good support too). If any of you guys know about a cheaper and good provider, please let me know.
I hope I can easily change the domain without paying extra fees and stuff like that. If this is not possible, this is the announcement for another site downtime (aren't we used to these already?). Sorries to all and FUCK to yahoo. |

Site downtime Yo everyone! I hope the whole bunch of ya is doing all good and fine. I'm sorry that it took me so long to get the site back and working. Some things may still not work but I'm too tired to check everything at this very moment, as this reparation was very time-consuming. Have a good one everyone! |

One more is back I'm glad to let you know, that (besides the guys mentioned in the last post) one more old member is back after taking a break from BTs. BTs_Gen.LeeHarvey (aka. DJ Disturbed) found his way to us again!
We're missing one more person (which is BTs_GhostSniper) to complete our AA team. The next FTK battle (in which we will play) will be announced on Nov 9. 06. |

Year to date: Out with old-ish.. In with new.. In with older As mentioned by one of our leaders, Eight, in a recent post on the forums, some of BattleTek Squads more ancient members have appeared from gaming oblivion. These talented individuals include FahQ2, Fusion, and Hooks -- all of which will be joining BTs in our quest for supremacy in the upcoming First To Kill Tournament.
Currently BTs is no longer competing in the Raven Shield or Ghost Recon communities and are looking to expand our task force in America's Army. Whether that means bringing back some our our previous bests (shout out to Ghost Sniper) or finding new talent willing to carry the gracefully aged BTs tag.
This is a clan of rich history including a legacy of destruction on the *DAMN Battle League in both Ghost Recon and Raven Shield with some players dating back to eras before the ones previously mentioned. Every BattleTek Squad member recognizes our history and tries to carry this reputation with pride while furthering the legacy of this clan with quality play and upstanding sportsmanship.
This is a year of rebuilding for this clan and hopefully the foundation repaired in this endeavor in America's Army will ensure stability in the future of BattleTek Squad. |
